Postcard from Saint-Dunstan-in-the-East

1. On my last visit to London, the English One and I decided to explore this hidden parish church, called Saint-Dunstan-in-the-East.

2. I love the way that the city seems to have grown up around it — the 12th century church is surrounded by far more modern buildings.

3. The church is partially in ruin after being largely destroyed during the Second World War.

4. Today, it’s a public garden, though it was largely empty on our visit.
